3rd Annual FTA Drug and Alcohol Program National Conference

Kenny Skenes

Kenny earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of S.C. in 1977, after completing 4½ years active military service. In 1969, he received an Associate Degree in Commercial Science, also from USC. Kenny has been employed with the South Carolina Department of Transportation over 29 years, and has been involved with statewide public transportation programs for nearly 20 years. He has served as Statewide Rural Transportation Coordinator and as a Statewide Planner, working with state MPO and COG agencies relative to public transportation and rail program initiatives. Mr. Skenes later served as the Program Manager for S.C.'s Job Access and Reverse Commute Program and as State Program Manager for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities Formula Grant Program. Kenny has received Associate Public Manager Certification, and has attained Certified Transit Programs Administrator accreditation from the Community Transportation Association of America. Kenny recently assumed duties in the Safety Office working in the area of transit Drug and Alcohol Program Management oversight.
