Russell B. Parish
Russ is the Education and Training Coordinator for
Arkansas Transit Association (ATA) in North Little Rock,
Arkansas. ATA is the only state transit association with a
full-time safety trainer and state-of-the-art safety and
resource center. Russ has held that position since 1999.
Russ travels throughout the state teaching classes in
defensive driving, emergency evacuation, child passenger
safety, drug and alcohol awareness, supervisor reasonable
suspicion training, passenger assistance and wheelchair
securement and many other topics. He has also lead training
sessions in Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington, Pennsylvania,
Florida, Louisiana, Missouri, and Nevada. Since joining the
Association, Russ has led over 1,500 classes and trained
almost 16,000 students.
Russ provides drug and alcohol technical assistance,
training and oversight for Arkansas’ public transit systems
(5307 and 5311) and non-profit agencies (5310).
